Mechanical engineering is one of the leading capabilities in D4B’s innovation process which leads to high quality manufactured solutions of unique, brand, user and vision based products. Mechanical engineering implies a range of disciplines such as kinematics, mechanism design, electromechanical integration, enclosure design, design for injection moulding, metal stamping, CNC, prototyping, testing and implementation.

Sr. Mechanical Engineer
As a Sr. Mechanical engineer at D4B you will be taking a lead role in transforming design into serial production. You are passionate about creating and seeing innovative and simple solutions realized into finished products. You contribute with your in-depth design, material, manufacturing and dimensioning knowledge. You are comfortable taking the lead on projects, just as you appreciate that your work requires empathy, strong communication and client facing skills. As a person, you are pro-active and are always willing to learn new things, develop yourself, and motivate the people around you.

Main tasks:
• Analyse customer requirements and elaborate upon design inputs and project plans
• Concept development and evaluation
• Tolerance analysis, define input for FEA engineers
• 3D development (we use pro/E wildfire)
• Host reviews and ensure documentation is established
• Prototyping and testing
• Vendor handling and tool debugging
• Team leadership
