Index: Designers talk SH**

June 29th, 16.30 - 19.00 pm
Sted: Kunstindustrimuseet, Bredgade 66, Festsalen

2.6 billion people in the world are in need of basic sanitation. That's two in five of us. As the forecast stands today, and if the trend continues, it will be impossible to achieve the UN Millennium Development Goal concerning access to basic sanitation. If we are
to reach that goal, one billion people have to gain access to  improved sanitation over the next five years. Therefore, designing optimum solutions to meet the specific needs in the developing countries has to be a major concern. This is not just a matter of focus on health issues, but also a matter of common human dignity. INDEX:Design to Improve Life would like to contribute to target that focus.

INDEX:Design to Improve Life invites you to an exciting afternoon on June the 29th  with two capacities, Jack Sim, founder of World Toilet Organization and Torben Lenau, associate professor at The Technical University of Denmark (DTU), who can shine a light on resololving the problem that 2.6 billion people in the world are in need of basic sanitation.

Space is limited, so RSVP is required by June 22nd, 2010 at the latest.
